Your privacy is our priority. The Arc of Mercer County is committed to protecting your privacy at all times, in all situations. The information we ask you to submit — your name, email address, mailing address, or phone number — is used to process your membership, registration, donation, request for information, or provide you with our newsletter. You may, of course, visit our site anonymously.
A brief explanation is listed below.
How do we use your information?
We ask for your name, address, email address, and some demographic information when you become a member of The Arc of Mercer County. If you are registering for our STEPS Challenge 5K Run & Walk, we also ask for your age, gender, and shirt size.
Your name and address information are used solely to process your membership, registration, donation, or request for information. Our policy is that any information you provide will never be sold, given, rented, or traded to others for purposes other than providing you with member benefit opportunities. We never release individual demographics to any party. Any demographic information we collect is used in aggregate terms for reporting purposes only.
How do we use website log files?
We want to improve our website and the way we provide information to you. So, when you visit our web site, we automatically log your IP address, your browser type, and your access times. This data helps us determine what content our visitors find important or most useful. This information can help us maximize your usage of our web site.
How do we protect your information?
All employees of The Arc take your personal information very seriously. All employees must learn and must obey our security policies. Only key management personnel from our member and donor services departments can access the information you provide. This information is ID and password protected. We use a secure server, and our security is reviewed regularly. Your information is transmitted by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.
