Over 50 years ago, The Arc was founded as the National Association For Retarded Children, Inc. Today, The Arc of Mercer County continues the tradition of providing services and advocacy for children with mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities. Our scope has expanded in line with The Arc of the United States Mission Statement which states:

The Arc of the United States works to include all children and adults with cognitive, intellectual, and developmental disabilities in every community.
