For over 20 years, MCAR has offered individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities more than just
a good time. Our activities help people become more independent, more confident, and able to do things no one would
have thought possible.
Our activities help create positive changes in individuals with disabilities. For instance, when a group
goes bowling, they not only have fun, but they are exercising, learning to take turns, practicing math skills,
interacting socially, and developing motor skills.
It’s this kind of mental and physical workout that keeps individuals healthy, active, and engaged. And because
our activities take place in the community, individuals enjoy an inclusive and meaningful everyday life.
