The Arc of the United States www.thearc.org  - The Arc is the national organization of and for people with mental retardation and related developmental disabilities and their families. It is devoted to promoting and improving supports and services for people with mental retardation and their families. The association also fosters research and education regarding the prevention of mental retardation in infants and young children.

The Arc of Pennsylvania www.thearcpa.org  - The Arc of PA is proud of its rich history of activism, advocacy and service provision on behalf of individuals with mental retardation. Formerly the Association for Retarded Citizens, The Arc of PA followed the lead of The Arc of the United States and changed its name to no longer reflect the acronoym. Now, The Arc of PA still proudly stands for the rights and interests of all individuals with mental retardation.

http://www.dpw.state.pa.us/Disable/MentalRetardationServices/ - The Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare's Office of Mental Retardation supports a comprehensive array of services and supports for people with mental retardation including: community residential and day support services which are either administered or operated by county MH/MR programs; contracted private residential intermediate care facilities for persons with mental retardation (ICF/MR) services or services in state centers. The mental retardation system is funded through federal, state and county funds.

Behaviorial Health Commission  www.mercercountybhc.org - The Mercer County Behavioral Health Commission, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization that assists persons with drug and alcohol, mental health, and mental retardation needs through the administration, coordination, and delivery of a service system committed to improving the quality of life of those served.
