Behavioral Care Homes

MCAR’s behavioral care homes offer a safe, comfortable place to live for individuals with challenging behaviors. These individuals may have syndromes such as Prader-Willi, Angelman, Williams, Rubinstein-Taybi, severe autism, and other behavioral disorders. Or they may be individuals who, for whatever reason, act out and need more attention, supervision, and support.

We believe that having a warm, caring home environment benefits these individuals. Our staff develop close relationships with the individuals in our behavioral homes and provide them with a full and active life that offers choice and social integration.

We develop an individualized therapeutic support plan for our behavioral care residents. This plan outlines strategies to help an individual modify, stabilize, or reduce his behaviors. Our goal is to improve his quality of life.

Our behavioral care homes are located within the community and are staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week with our specially trained behavioral staff.
